Who are Highland YLAG?

Highland YLAG is a group of 16-30 year olds from across Highland who want to make our region a better place to live, work and study in. 

 

What kind of projects does Highland YLAG support?

Our Youth Impact Fund is open to both organisations and young people. We are open to supporting ideas, activities, projects, training and events which contributes to developing our strategic priorities of development, connection, change and fulfilment. 

 

What areas does Highland YLAG cover?

Highland YLAG works in the Highland Council Local Authoirty Region, and distributes funding to rural Highland - which excludes Inverness City. Those based in Badenoch & Strathspey are ineligible for Highland YLAG as they are covered by the Cainrgorms National Park Authority's YLAG & CLLD Funding. 

 

Can I get involved?

Highland YLAG strives to be representative of all of Highland through having members from different areas, backgrounds and walks of life. We are always open to welcoming new members to our group, so if you are aged 16-30, based in Highland have an interest in making rural living better please get in touch with us by emailing enquiries@hiclimatehub.co.uk.

 

I'm outwith Highland but want to be involved?

YLAGS are popping up across Scotland and being supported by their local LAGs. Currently there are YLAGs in Orkney, Cairngorms, Moray, Borders, Fife, Outer Hebrides and of course Highland! We'd encourage you to reach out to your local YLAG to influence decisons in your local area.
