Thurso Youth Club was established in 1960 and has a long history in the Thurso Community supporting young people and providing a safe space for young people to come together. We provide universal youth work for young people aged 5-18years in various sessions run through the week.

Project Description

Senior Groups

The Youth Committee, made up of a group of young people giving them a platform to make informed change to their club would like to make items to sell at markets to make their own money to buy resources for the club and promote the club. They meet monthly throughout the year increasing to attend events. This group is made up off 10 young people. The Dungeon and Dragons group for S1-6 is a group coming together sharing knowledge and will need resources to enable them to build fantasy worlds. They meet weekly in the term time. This group is made up off 14 young people.

The Thursday Night Rock is a weekly group giving young people a place to practice their music and hopefully working alongside local musicians who will guide and teach young people. We will need to have spare drum skins, guitars in-case young people don't have their own they can use the club ones. In addition there will be an open mic session for the young people to showcase their skills they learned in the Youth Café and those playing we would like to offer a free lunch by having funds to offer them a lunch to say thank you. The music group is made up off 14 young people.
